Information provided by Lifestraw.com What is Lifestraw®:LifeStraw® is a portable water purifier that effectively removes all bacteria and viruses responsible for causing common diarrhoeal diseases. LifeStraw® requires no electrical power or spare parts and can be carried around for easy access to safe and clean water. How is Lifestraw® used: Simply dip LifeStraw® into a water source and suck on it to draw the purified liquid up. 
Who can use it: Both adults and children above three years can use LifeStraw®. What is the need: A significant amount of daily water consumption, especially amongst kids, takes place outside the home-walking long distances to and from school, kids often find it difficult to obtain potable drinking water. LifeStraw® has, therefore, been developed to provide an accessible, effective solution to the 'instant' need for safe water intervention.
